The Character Code
In Semester One, 2026, we’re diving into Arcs & Archetypes — the timeless patterns that shape stories everywhere, from ancient myths to your favourite modern adventures. Young writers will create unforgettable characters, and learn how stories grow: twisting, remixing and reinventing along the way to craft tales that feel completely their own.
Full-semester writers will also get the chance to submit their work to a brand-new digital publication at the end of Term One! It’s an epic call to adventure where imagination rules, creativity grows, and every young writer discovers the storyteller waiting inside them.

FAN-tastic Fiction
FAN-Tastic Fiction is a digital publication featuring fan-fiction stories written by young writers participating in a weekly Creative Story Writing Group or Mentorship program at Story Studios Australia.
In Semester 1, 2024, young writers were immersed in the art of storytelling, exploring existing worlds and characters while mastering new writing techniques. They had the opportunity to submit their stories for publication in the collection featured here.
