About Us

Story Studios Australia exists to inspire and nurture a lasting love of stories and storytelling. We work with young and emerging creative writers, who are just starting out, right through to experienced writers who are looking for community, accountability or a fresh perspective. Through our workshops, participants develop skills in stories and storytelling, allowing them to express their creativity in new ways. We take a mentoring approach (as opposed to a teaching only approach) towards imparting skills, knowledge and to sharing our passion. As such our group sizes are small and our courses are tailored, fun and immersive. Be it through a young writers’ Story Writing Group or Private Mentorship, a holiday program, school program, OR one of our adult courses, workshops or events – every single one of our programs is grounded in expanding confidence, creativity and community.

We work with and welcome every kind of creative writer and storyteller. In addition, stories and storytelling are essential to all forms of writing, from poets to screenwriters, diarists to journalists, playwrights, novelists, hobbyists, hedonists and hardened hagiographers… actually that last one hasn’t happened yet but please if you are out there, we would love to see you! We encourage everyone to celebrate stories and storytelling and discover new ways to share their unique voices.
