The Secret Door
Step into a secret world of hidden mysteries and enchantment. Students will explore beautiful places full of danger and curiosities and craft their very own tales of magical realism.

Villains and Antiheroes
An exploration of epic character arcs, nuanced liars and suspenseful action. Through the lens of Villains and Antiheroes, students will develop complex stories rich with subtext and subtlety.

Teen Dystopia
Teens will take a deep, dark dive into advanced themes, high concepts and sophisticated storytelling in this exciting dystopian themed program.
Drawing on references from well-known literature and film, Teen Dystopia will explore both timeless and topical talking points inherent in the dystopian genre, giving teens the chance to practice bringing complexity, nuance and subtlety into their craft.

The Character Code – Digital Publication
Students will explore character arcs and learn how a character’s journey shapes a story’s structure. In shining a lens on a small selection of classic and modern archetypes, students will be inspired and excited to create epic tales of their very own that they can submit to a brilliant digital publication!

Do you travel to schools?
Absolutely. We offer school incursions throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas, as well as excursions at our Carlton studio and online workshops for schools across Australia.
How many students can attend?
We can work with individual classes, multiple classes, year levels or whole-school groups. We’ll recommend the best format based on your needs.
Can programs be customised?
Yes. Every school is different, so we can tailor workshops to your curriculum, year level, learning objectives or special event.
Do you offer Book Week programs?
Yes. Our Book Week workshops are one of our most popular offerings and can be delivered as incursions, excursions or online experiences.
How long are the workshops?
Programs can run from 90-minute sessions through to half-day, full-day and multi-week sessions, depending on your schools goals. We suggest a minimum of two hours per session to dive deep into the creative process.
