House of Stories

House of Stories is a new 2024 anthology series showcasing fiction by young writers aged 7–18 from our weekly Story Writing Groups and Mentorships. Replacing The Young Explorers’ Journal of Forgotten Stories, this high-quality publication reflects each writer’s journey from idea to polished story with the support of a writing mentor. Available at Readings (Carlton), The Little Bookroom, and our Writers’ Store (Parts 1–4), the anthology is launched annually at our end-of-year book launch and story festival at The Edge, Fed Square.

The Young Explorers’ Journal of Forgotten Stories

Sold at Readings (Carlton) and The Little Bookroom, the series culminated each year in an end-of-year book launch. Volume 5 alone included around 400 stories across two parts: Tales from the Realm and Tales from the Hearth.
