A Night for Writers and Storytellers to Connect

Once every season, Story Studios Australia opens its doors for an evening dedicated to celebrating stories and the people who tell them.

The Writers’ Social is a vibrant three-hour gathering for writers of all genres, formats, and experience levels. Even if you’re a complete beginner, this is an opportunity to share your ideas and connect with a community that understands the joys of creating.

Whether it’s trading insights on world-building or character motivation, or deep-diving into the stories that have inspired you this year, you’ll be amazed how quickly a room full of peers will become a room full of friends, and maybe even collaborators!

Join us this Friday 5th of December for our extra special Summer Soiree, as we celebrate another great year of writing.

Meet Your Instructor

Adult Programs Coordinator, Matt is a screenwriting teacher at VCA and co-host of the movie podcast Tripod. Raised on Rupert Bear, A.A. Milne, Morris Gleitzman, and Enid Blyton, he writes light fantasy and escapist stories for kids and teens, bringing a warm, playful energy to his stories.
